What am I up to at the moment? Inspired by /now; here's my listing
Working to setup NixOS on my VPS. Then my NAS, then my laptop? Might put them all into one git repo on Tangled after I figure out the perfect organizational structure and how I'd make changes to all the systems. (Oh, and backups.)
Started another term of courses. Have some work to do... 🧌 On a related note, I've been spending too much time on social media platforms like Bluesky, YouTube, and Discord, instead of doing significantly more important things. Maybe I could solve that...
I may be participating in a Digital Minimalism Lab! Starting from a video by Nathan Laundry, I randomly stumbled across it while on YouTube and joined the community spawned from it. I transferred the info/links from a Google Doc into a Leaflet doc and got a mention from him in his next upload about it! I may contribute to the Digital Minimalist Wiki when that gets up and running. (Also amazing how his latest upload at time of writing is about indie web, which is also something I'm really interested in. Not Just Linux, self-hosting, digital independence, and privacy!)
Laptop (Zen) browser's tab count is at about 404. The oldest are from a month ago. I have more open tabs than total number of emails in my inbox!? A lot of the former are about NixOS (a good amount of duplicates as well), so maybe I should actually set that all up (and stop waiting for more weeks). (Also want to setup stuff on my VPS now that I've wiped it and there's nothing there but NixOS and helix editor.)
OH! Since the last time I updated my now page (over half a year ago) I switched completely off of Windows! Now I'm only using Linux on my personal devices. (Still using my Pixel phone, which is technically..? 😛 just jorkin') Started with Ultramarine Linux and now I'm running CachyOS. (Using niri as my compositor btw. + DankMaterialShell, Vicinae, and various custom scripts & keybinds!)

I spend a lot of time chatting with friends on Discord, where I own a couple servers. I also browse YouTube, Bluesky, the whole personal web/indie internet, and on more social platforms. But when I'm not online, I'm taking public transit, playing card games, reading a book, or using hardware offline. 😼📸 I use my Google Pixel 6 and rarely other cameras to take photos, like the ones on this site's homepage and photography.xan.lol.

Xan.lol was originally made with no-code site building service Carrd.co, but after having a good time paying for its top teir and not coding much myself, I decided to export my sites. The source code of this one is now available on GitHub (under a Mozilla Public License and Creative Commons BY-NC-SA) and is hosted with Cloudflare Pages. I use Contabo to host my own Coolify instance, which is connected to a few xan.lol subdomains. I often think about updating this main site to have more content in the form of a microblog (&/or a full blog), integrations with services I use (Last.fm, Discord, etc.), lists of my favorite things, and a better layout.
